986 Headlight bulb change snafu

Upgrading bulbs on my 200 Boxster S. Watched all the videos. Did the passenger side, NP. Stuck on the drivers side. With 3-5x the force on the wrench, nothing budges, no pop, no movement of the light. Wondering if leaning on the headlight in a certain spot helps it release, maybe lifting slightly on the front edge? Don't want to smash things, by cranking too hard and now I have one side with nice bright light an one side with old original style light. Any ideas?

Firstly, I would use a 5mm socket, not the on-board tool. Then I would try to lock the headlight. i.e. press against it (possibly a second person) and mentally turn the locking bar backwards, so clockwise on the left-hand side and anti-clockwise on the right-hand side, seen from the front! Then release, i.e. the other way round. Good luck!

If it remains stuck you may consider removing the wheel well liner and "helping" the headlight assembly out by pushing on the headlight assembly rear cover.
I am wondering if the mount bracket clamp is full forward and not engaged with the headlight assembly.
May I ask what bulbs you chose for the upgrade?
