The 300 (Thousand)
I was able to capture this moment as I stopped for gas this morning. 20 years of ownership. 260,000 miles of my own. Year round daily driver. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1733766617.jpg

Great! Really!

Well done!
I’m assuming standard maintenance…oil changes, transmission oil, plugs, brakes, coolant, water pump/t’stat, axle boots, etc etc. You had to do “major” stuff beyond that? I ask because I’m at 113K and I’m curious what I’m in for. Mine (’01 S, manual transmission) currently runs like a top (though I am having the apparently fairly standard 2nd gear issues). |
Congratulations!

That is awesome!

I'm mostly an "if it ain't broke" guy. I do little preventive maintenance. I change to oil once a year. I do most repairs myself. I have replaced most suspention parts at least twice, including axles and bearings. I replace plugs and coils if I get a CEL. I do maintain some spare parts: control arms, axles, drop links, etc. I should have an air/oil separator and water pump on the shelf too. The clutch was recently replaced for the first time!
The only major engine work was failed valve timing dohicky. |
Well done!
Sydney (CSS) just turned 90K. Punkin (LE) is 84K - that update is for Frodo. |
