Are Boxster (987) and Cayman wheels compatible?
 

I have a 2005 Boxster S (987) and am looking for a set of wheels for autocross. I found a set of 18" Cayman wheels with 235/40/18 and 265/40/18 Michelins (6 miles on them-new!) for $1500. Will these fit without spacers????

I figured someone else would answer this one by now, but yes. Those are the exact dimensions of the standard issue 987 S wheels (the 18s).

I'm starting to see some of the 07 Boxsters be specced on dealer lots with the Cayman S wheels. Kind of a shame on account of them being so ugly.

I can speak from experience. I have an 05 Boxster S and use the Cayman S (18") wheels as my track wheels - plug and play.

What tire sizes and tires are you using on the 18" wheels, and what tire pressures do you run?

would the caymen or 987 wheels fit on a 986?

I really like the stock Cayman 17" wheels. If they came in 18" I'd probably be somewhat interested.
