Do the math: 986+997 = YeeeHa to the 10th!

I've been AWOL for a while but have not forgotten where home is.. We did get an opportunity to add this Silver beauty to our garage when some kind soul in Cleveland tired of it in 10,000mi. Silver 997s are pretty common, but it's got a Cocoa, full leather interior that's kind of like the 986 Anv. coloring - to die for. Nice to see you all again..

you are a man of very fine tastes. I too picked up my Porsha with a mere 10,000 miles on the clock. Hopefully I can repeat this with a 996 C4S or a CaymanS. Leaning towards the C4S lately.

so what'dja pay for that beautiful car with the engine in the wrong place?

Wow, that looks great. It's too bad your garage is too shallow to pull the cars in farther.

congrats, love both cars....one more then the other, but a very nice 997.

now fix that driveway, that's got to be a nightmare driving a beautiful shinny porsche on. but must be beautiful to have a rock driveway like that.

Ya you guys.. the damn his/her Cayenne's are too long to get all the cars in the garage!? We put towels over these butts at night.

...and no grief over my driveway - I'm out in the weeds over here; the sucker's almost 1/4mi long, so there's no-way I'm goona pave it. Besides, the cars appreciate a 10mph warmup.

Cheers and happy holidays y'all.

PL: ...make sure you'll be OK with a 996. I was about to 'steal' an '04 40th Anv. Special with a MSRP of $95k but the 997 made some major improvements, espc. inside, that I could not ignore. ...and I always 'buy for the next owner' at the same time. You're going to take a major hit on resale at any stage with our cars, but you should try to limit the hemorrhage.

As a side note - my wife saw the car for the first time when I got home from the 500mi drive back from Cleveland Porsche. "I can't drive THAT.".. was sort of her first reaction. I had to take her to a large parking lot before she'd even sit in the left seat. ...it took maybe 3-4minutes for her to feel comfortable a the helm.

Smag: I guess if it has made 70k in Slovenia, then there's someone to work on it, eh? The price sounds wonderful. I have an image of a country with plenty of twisty roads and outdoor cafe's to park in front of. Have fun.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.
