So what junk do you keep in your car?

I probably can save about 20 lbs of weight if I remove all these items, but being as OC as I am, I keep all this junk in my car:

- A more comprehensive Tool kit in addition to the one supplied in the car behind the spare.

- Extra plastic rivets in case I need to remove a wheel well for any reason

- A jump starter that works from cigarette lighter from another car to your cigarette lighter in your car, in case your battery dead. This is so that you don't need to worry about opening the front trunk or touching either car's battery.

- First Aid Kit

- EZ Pass for tolls

- Flashlight

- Air compressor that works from cigarette lighter in case my spare is low on air

- 1 quart of Porsche Coolant

- 1 quart of Mobil One

- Can of Plexus for my rear plastic window

- OEM touch up paint.

- Sunglasses, hat, and sun tan lotion in case it's warm enough to put the top down. :)

- GPS unit

torque wrench! don't ask me why.
sometimes I carry the mini air compressor that does double duty pupming up my Bianchi's tires.
Longacre digital air pressure gauge.
Fuse checker with a little green light.
soft top cover.
couple of screw drivers which rattle in the door compartments.
emergency cash stash, fake beard and bogus passaport.
flares (cheap auto store kit)
front bumper bra.
Raggtopp to spot clean bird bombs.
FK 425 and 146 to quick clean brake dust and glass.
need a flash light.

Full CD Changer
EZ Pass on the Windshield
Speedster Humps in the Rear Boot

Other than that, if it didn't come from Porsche, it ain't in there.

Ya know, those border guards might look at you a little less suspiciously if it were spelled "passport" :) Of course, I would love to have a fake one with it spelled "passaport", it would allow me to pass as Italian :)

I have:
tire gauge
pull-over fleece for when it's nice (35 degrees+) and I don't have a long sleeved shirt on
hat
winter gloves (in case my un-insulated driving gloves aren't enough)
cell phone charger
I think that's it.. I've learned long ago with convertibles to only carry what's important at the time.

Leather Mercedes Benz CD holder with MP3's on them (upgraded stereo) jammed between the passenger seat and the door sill
Umbrella in the umbrella holder slot
Hats in both door cubbies
Suntan lotion in driver's cubby
Red clip, garage remote, gate remote in top center cubby
EZ tag in lower cubby (just can't stick it on the windshield)
Valentine 1 (stored there some of the time), digital air pressure gauge and a pen in the oddments tray.

It is a device that pays our tolls automatically by sending out a radio wave. They can be set to replenish themselves by debiting a credit card to a pre-set limit.

djomlas 12-06-2006 05:43 PM

we have I-Pass, thats prolly the same as those u reffer to, but pretty much u zoom trough toll passes and it scans it and takes money out of ur account without u wasting time and counting coins at the toll booth

edit: damn u beat me to it :)
