All-season tires for 17" wheels 987.2?

Hey guys, occasional lurker, first time poster here. I drive a 2011 Boxster, and have been switching out Michelin PS2s with Sottozeros back and forth every year.

The PS2s start having performance issues around 50F and below, and I know the Sottozeros aren't recommended as year-round tires. The thing is... it's just a total pain to switch them 2x/year. I've decided to eat the performance hit and just get all-season tires.

That said, looking online it looks like there are slim pickings for the normal 17" wheels. Does anybody have any recommendations for 17" all-season tires? Sizes are 205/55R and 235/50R. This is a daily driver, not a track car. Never driven above 120mph, although I do like to accelerate quickly once the car is warmed up. I live in northern VA, and we get occasional snow.

Look at Cosmo Mucho Macho tires (yes, thats the actual name!)
SimpleTire.com has some good pricing

I have a set of them on my 996 and am very happy with them

Thanks. I looked them up, but the sizing guide doesn't seem to have my car's wheel sizes. I checked out SimpleTire.com, and they only list two options - the Michelin PS2s, and Otani KC1000s, which I'm not familiar with, but the description says they're also UHP (i.e. not all-season).

I slapped a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Pluses, an all-season tire, on my 986's 17-inch rims. They're significantly more surefooted than the Toyo set they replaced.

You can probably go a little wider as well, 215 / 245 if that helps in finding sizes. Check the overall diameter. The front and rear should be close to each other. It's not terribly critical if you have just ABS and not PSM

Conti's are great

These look fine, but according to their website they're only available in 205/55 R17 (front), not 235/50 R17 (rear).

Should I mix brands for rear?

My car does have PSM. I think they're standard for 987.2.

I came across Yokohama's YT-GTX, which looks like a good fit, but unfortunately they're exclusive sold by Discount Tires, and the closest one to me is an hour away.

A friend that owns a tire shop recommended these, comparable to top of the line Continental, great all weather and summer, rainy season here finally hit and they felt really good on tight twisties today. Went with stock 97 boxster size. Under a grand for four, and Blaney pro racer said they rate best tires he has seen street race combo

Website says they don't fit 205/55 and 235/50. :(

I've been trying to post a reply, but they're not going through for some reason. Maybe because I'm quoting the URL?

Anyway, those Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Pluses don't fit my car, according to the website. My guess is the 986 wheels aren't the same size as the 987.2 wheels. Also, my car does have PSM - I think all 987.2s do.

I did find one set that works - the Yokohama YK-GTX. Planning on ordering them unless someone has a different suggestion.
