Help identify unknown trim piece.

I WOULD APPRECIATE ANYONE'S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING THE LOCATION AND PURPOSE OF THE TWO TRIM PIECES THAT I FOUND LAYING IN THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BAY WHEN I CHANGED THE AIR FILTER ON MY 2003 BOXSTER S. THEY WERE NOT ATTACHED TO ANYTHING, AND I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE THEY GO, OR WHAT THEY DO. THE ATTACHED PICTURE SHOWS THAT THEY ARE A SLIGHTLY-DOMED BLACK-MESH PLASTIC WITH ATTACHMENT POINTS. tHANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE HELP!

They reduce wind in the cockpit with the top down. And, yes they work.

They are also worth a pretty penny. They also have tabs that break or bend so use black zip ties if you attach them so they don't get stolen or fly away.

They're junk plastic pieces, and scream "I'm a poser". They don't stop the wind, and actually reduce your abiity to see behind you. They are great for sifting kitty litter. Don't listen to anybody telling you they're worth a pretty penny. They're just ****************ing with you.

I'll give you $75 for the pair.

I replaced the broken ones on my car when I bought it a few months ago. The fit was pretty tight for me. I don't know if they actually do anything, but I think they look nice.

No offense, but you might want to have your hearing checked. They don't scream, "I'm a poser," but rather "My car's stock." My 2000 986 came without them, so I'm going to pick up a couple when when a reasonably priced pair become available on eBay.

I think Starter986 had his tongue in cheek... before offering $75.

She's new. She'll come around. Her username is correct.
