Snugged in the sending unit... sealed it up... tray... battery... ~4 gallons of gas... primed the fuel pump employing the jumper.

It did make some greaat noise as it quenched it's thirst. Haven't heard that noise since my first marriage.

Turned the key. Fired up. Runs... sounds fine.

Now to button it all back up.

Thank you, again, to everyone who offered recommendations and suggestions. I did discover that the low-dollar pressure/fuel device I bought at HF wasn't equipped to work on the car. I need to get some fittings.
