Underseat electronics?

Just discovered that the right side drain on my 03 (LHD) was clogged and so, I’ve got a wet carpet on that side.

Near as I can tell, there are no electronics under the seat on that side. Can someone confirm that, please?

Left side (immobilizer, etc) was not clogged and the carpet there is bone dry (whew!).

Many thanks,

The electronics under your passenger side seat should be part of the seat (memory seat/adjustment/seat belt detection/connections for heating). No modules on the floor.

Thanks! It is interesting that there wasn’t much in the drain, but it was enough to cause it to back up.

There is….

….an aftermarket, waterproof box that you can install around the immobilizer under the driver’s seat.

It’s good peace of mind.

I installed one.

Google it.
