Rear Bumper fitment

Afternoon everyone! First post but I have lurked for years... Have a general question: Have a 2006 Boxster Base. Someone did a hit-and-run on my baby and the rear bumper has deep scratches that will require a replacement. The question is will a '05 fit a '06? I mean it should as they are both 987.1s... Just wanted to get a feel for it.. It will be cheaper to do it this way plus I won't have to report it to my insurance...Getting the clutch done and rear mains replaced so I figure why not do it all at once.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
Paul

I just did a search for an 05 on car-part dot com and got hits from 05-08 years, so the same bumper should fit 05-08, at least according to them.

But if your car has park-assist, then you have to find a bumper with the sensors. If it doesn't, either one would fit but the sensors would just be decorative, if that wouldn't bother you.
