Those two... and the two similar types that sit behind the front tires... they quickly can get beat up.

I've been considering fabricating (purchase the sheet of metal... cut out the shapes... bend and fold with hand tools... drill holes... attach.) They'd certainly last longer than the rubber. Granted, they won't be as "forgiving" as the rubber.

Watcha think? The rubber is connected to full-on metal. Nothing wwouldd be harmed if the "new"" metal piece caught debris.
