No engine power

I was on the freeway when suddenly my car cut power to the engine. My friend jumped me the first time this happened, I made it a good 100 ft before it shut off again but this time the engine cranked a couple times only to shut off shortly after starting, now my car won't even try to start. Getting in the car, I turn the key and everything light up as usual. The problem is only apparent when I turn the key to start position and nothing happens.

I trouble shot my car in hopes I could get it running again.

First, I checked all the fuses to make sure they were all connected.
Second, I checked the main power ground point to make sure it was clean and snug.
Third I checked all the connections to the starter to make sure everything was tight.
Finally, I used my key to lock the car and got my alarm to go off then unlocked it with the key, to make sure it was not the anti-theft system. Still nothing I don't know what to do from here.

Any ideas to help avoid a college kid towing his Porsche to a dealership would be great!

Some questions...

What year is your car?

Manual or Tip?

Describe the service history for the last 5 years.

For how long have you owned the car, and from what personality (friend, family member, private lot, private seller, etc.) did you purchase it?

Your responses will give us something to run with.

Where in Texas are you located?

Might have.a non-dealership option for you.

Does it have a Check Engine Light on?

I haven't heard you say that your battery is good. I would get that checked.

Trouble shooting resolved the issue. The below steps led me to the source of my problem.
1. Checked battery at 13.07 volts
2. Shook/Jiggled the ignition to see if there was slack while turning it
3. Moved steering wheel around while attempting to start
4. Placed in Neutral and Park trying to start in each
5. Checked fuel (just because I didn't trust my gauge)
6. Checked every single fuse in my cabin
7. Set alarm, set off alarm, then disarmed with key
8. Checked starter and engine management relays in the boot... this was my problem. A bad relay shut me down and wouldn't let it crank over or start.

Replaced the relay and it fired right up.

Great work on your part and congrats. It's not clear to me which relay it was though.
