Coolant Leak - Passenger Side
Hello everyone, finally got round to making an account here :)
I'll get straight to my issue; I have a problem with my 2004 Boxster S 986 3.2 regarding a coolant leak. Occasionally coolant will leak into the passenger side in the cockpit. It seems to seep out from the middle part of the car (I have attached an image). I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the heater core. However, occasionally my windscreen tends to condensate quite a lot too and I'm not sure if this is related. My drainage tubes seem to be clear so that doesn't seem to be the issue causing my condensation. I'd appreciate any help with this. Thank you all! Seems a heater core will be making its way onto my shopping list. |
So, I have ordered a new Heater Core, but won't get here for a couple of weeks. As a temporal solution, is it possible to disconnect the two hoses from the old heater core and put them together? Hopefully that'll stop my leaking until the new one arrives.

Either using a hose pinch clamp or connecting them together would work, yes.
