Boxter Center Console Box lock
 

DISREGARD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FIXED>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>Pushing the console lock button failed to open the storage box so I inserted the key and after turning this way and that and pushing the button in with no unlocking, I pulled up on the key and the lock cylinder came right out with it.

So now, not only is the console box still locked, I am not able to get the lock cylinder to stay in place. To quote Charlie Brown, "Aaaargh!"

It just needed another less frenzied and gentle touch. All is well now...I just was unable to delete the post.
