do they make silver wheel center caps that have the colored crest?

I have a silver hood crest and need to swap out the gold wheel center caps but I'd prefer a colored crest not the silver/black caps.

Well, they cost like $100

Better yet, get the super awesome spinning Porsche crests. They are like $300 but they spin so they always face up (i guess they are weighted on the bottom and are able to spin on a bearing). They even have videos of them, pretty cool.

Hi Bagwell, sorry. OK, if you find them, please send me a link too. I would consider replacing my wheel crests and hood crest to silver too, with color, and get rid of the gold.

good thing about buying these expencive ones is that u can always throw urs on ebay and get some money back so it doesnt hurt ur pocket as much

I'm just interested in painting the red --- how did you paint it? tiny paint brush?

djomlas 11-18-2006 10:01 PM

well since u only want to paint the red part, just get a wide brush so it covers the whole part u want painted red. ull need 2 good coats to get the nice shiny red

DJ, your like the forum martha stuart, lol. You should make a book of all the stuff youve hand painted or crafted from ordinary objects. I just dont have the time to go through and paint everything.

djomlas 11-19-2006 08:35 AM

hehhe, well believe it or not it doesnt take long time. i painted the crest on the wheel in no more than 10 minutes, no joke.
the centercaps were all done by my GF so i take no credit for that :)
the shiftknob took no more than 10 minutes either.
now the gauge rings took freaking forever masking all that off
and side vents were point and shoot :)

so if you have 2 free hours u can paint everything other than the gauge rings  haev a beer while u wait for one to dry and tackle another.
