Dual row ims bearing

Can someone tell me if ln Eng has a dual row bearing for a 2003 boxster
I’m looking at a 2003 boxster and the owner has a receipt for a dual row ims that Porsche installed in his car

Unless it also has a replacement engine from an earlier car, the answer is no. The dual row bearings were phased out in 2001, 2002-2004 cars all had single row bearings. Plus Porsche dealers did not do retrofits. And as I have no tolerance for people that try to deceive buyers, I would walk away as you have no idea what else the seller is trying to hide.

Call ln directly

The seller may be wrong and correct.

To disambiguate, LN does make a dual row IMS retrofit bearing for cars that came with a single row bearing.

Porsche does not install them.

Exactly what does the receipt show as the LN part number? Is there a sticker on the drivers door jam? If you have a serial number of a LN part, LN could tell you what was sold.

Good point, and as Mike points out, if you have the sticker number or the LN part number, that can de code if it is the single row pro bearing.
