hardtop weight
 

I can't seem to find anything on the Web that tells me how much the hardtop weighs. I have a 1998 986. Anyone happen to know or have something that tells them?

I'm not positive on a 986, as I have a 996 now, which came with a hard top. The 996 is around 75 lbs. Its vey manageable with two people. I would think the 986 would be close, maybe even a little lighter as its slightly smaller.

I haven't actually weighed mine, but it's not very heavy I guess 25 to 35 pounds. Except for the awkward size/shape it could be easily handled by one man.

I actually saw mention of it at being around 55 to 60 lbs. I'd believe that based off what my 996 one weighs

I recall reading they are 55 pounds, but I don't know where that info came from, and I haven't weighed one myself, but it's definitely around there.
