tire suggestions?

i am in need of new tires for my 2000 S and want good ones (not just ok, not great) as cost is an issue right now. Suggestions? note: weekend car, no snow, no track, minimal rain, moderate temp.

EB...i just bought a new tire about 3 weeks ago, it's KUMHO ECSTA SPT (Front: 225/45ZR Rear: 255/40ZR) @ Discount tires. So far I'm liking it...and I use my 99' Box the same way you suggested

+ 1 on the SPT's

My wife has them on her RX8 and they are a terrific tire for the money. Steering response is a bit off, relative to the Sport Ribs, but they are quiet and have a lot of grip. BFG G force is another consideration--a UHP tire runs about $120(?)

I was happy with the Kumho's on my old 928. I think I ran the Ecsta Supra's ? on that, it's been a while. Very good tire for the money
