Question on "old" air bags

My 98' Boxster is 24 years old. It's in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition but I'm wondering about its 24 year old air bag system. IF needed, would it work? Is there any risk of it inadvertently blowing off? I'm assuming "age" can affect it but I'm just not sure.

Thoughts?, advice?

Thx

I’ve seen evidence of older Mercedes and Porsche bags still working. Mercedes effectively issued TSBs to dealers that bags didn’t need to be replaced after a specific age.

I had an experience with a Volvo V70, where we got a warning message about the restraining system, according to the dealer it required to replace one of the airbags, but before we replacing anything our younger son totaled the wagon and the airbags thanks God deployed properly..

Perhaps would be a good idea to ask the dealer's service department (or two) to compare their comments.
