Good Traveling Companion

We have just returned from a 2000-mile round trip.
I am once again reminded the Boxster is a great little traveler!
It averaged around 30 mpg--at 80++ most of the time, held all the wife's multiple bags, was comfortable, and very happy at speed. Though our roads don't reflect the taxes we pay for them, it handled the bad sections well. It also used no oil. (LiquiMoly 5w40--so let's start another oil thread!) Now, it's a 1999, with no just under 70,000 miles, but I don't think you can tell. It is just a little dirty from some bugs and some heavy rain, but ready to go again.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1654179379.jpg

What rpm does a 1999 run at those speeds?
Impressive fuel economy.

I love my Boxsters for a road trip!

Never had an issue, and I've logged thousands and thousands of road trip miles.
