Guys, I need your help....after months/years of maybe, maybe not!! I am finally going to replace my standard S 17" wheels for a set of 18's....the tricky part...which type....it will be either 18" Carrera or 18" Turbo II ..... any views?
Also any photos of those wheels on Arctic silver would be much appreciated.

IMO, they look plain because of the plain wheel centercaps. If he buys the painted colored crests, it will dress the rims up nicely.

Ditto! Mine looked drab until I put some nice colored centercaps on them... and the red calipers help a lot too. Breaks up the color behind the wheel nicely.

In a related but different topic....

I am thinking of putting a different set of wheels on my '01 S - it has the 18" Sport Classics. I like the look of the 987 18" S wheels, especially in chrome from LA Wheel. However, Boxster wheels are always listed seperately for 986 & 987. Is that because of different offsets? Will the 987's work? Do I need spacers?

Any info / help would be enlightening.

Y2BOX,

I have the 18" Turbo Look / Technology

I like them better than the 996 Turbo's

I do like the Carrera 5-Spoke though...

I like them both but the scales tip in favor of the Turbos.
