Has anyone tried Bardahl no smoke additive ? I get some blue smoke on startup so I thought this stuff might work …am I crazy ? The oil separator has been replaced as well.

Fix the issue, dont throw crap into the engine.
If it was a Honda or Kia...sure I wouldn't put any like that or stop fix crap in a engine I want to last more then 100 miles. |
....double post...

Keep the oil level at the two lines below the top level mark on the electronic cauge on the dash. If you fill the oil to the top mark on the elecrtronic cauge, it will most likely to puff a blue smoke at the cold start up. I had this issue and have read many saying the same. Regardless, check the oil level time to time from the dipstick as well. |
LOL..."back in the day", when I could only afford a "beater" of a car my buddies and I would toss in a couple of cans of STP Oil Treatment in the crankcase. It solved smoke issue because it was thick like molasses, probably even thicker, like tank oil.....
I'm not suggesting you try it but that STP stuff DID stop the blue smoke in my "beater". |
