Installing Rear Trailing Arms
I've read all the posts concerning this and I'm finally going to deal with my rear clunk by installing some new trailing arms.
My question is - Are these best installed with the wheels on the ground, vehicle in the air with wheels off, or what. (01 Boxster S) No one seemed to cover that. Just recently had struts done and don't want to mess with having an alignment done again. Thanks in advance! |
Your doing the alignment again, but you can get pretty close. I’ve always been close.
Lift the car, replace the arms, torque everything, get alignment Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
"vehicle in the air with wheels off" this is how I would do it, as you will be having much more space with the wheels off..

Should be able to install and torque with car in air. Should not change alignment at all as they are fixed point items
