"Greetings earthlings."
It's been awhile since I've been here, but I just wanted to share something that could help the 986 community.
A few weeks ago I was searching YouTube for anything that could help me with dropping the engine on my 996 (it has issues). I came across a series of videos by "Man in a Garage".
His description of his channel:
"Can someone with no skills or experience rebuild a Porsche 911 engine and bring this car back to life?" This playlist covers the day the car arrived to (Hopefully) fixing it and driving. I am not a mechanic, I am doing this for fun to share the experience and encourage others to do the same.
Yes, he's got a 996, but the 986 engine is practically the same. If you've been looking to do any internal work on your engine then this is worth checking out.
It's really well produced and goes into detail about the process. He's a likeable guy who keeps you involved.
The series so far has almost 50 videos. He's getting pretty close to getting his 996 going again. I highly recommend binging on this series if this is your thing.
Search YouTube for "Man in a Garage".
Let me know what you think.
