Outdoor car cover southern California

Just moved to southern california. Will need to park my 97 boxster outdoors till my new garage built. Wondering what type and what material car cover to buy. Suggestions where to buy also appreciated. Thanks. Bruce.

Really?

You come from Wisconsin... not known for the most favorable weather... then ypou move to SoCal, with some of the most favorable weather on the planet... and you're asking us what kind of cover?

You're the pro in inclement weather. You should be citing us.

I live in Bay Area and I use "Silverguard Car Cover - 986" Got mine from suncoast parts

98 Boxster is parked outside all year - no issues

The best cover is a puffy, white snow.

What are you trying to protect the car from? I take it no snow/ice. Rain, any concern over debris, nuts, leaves, bird droppings, etc?

I lived in Northern VA and used a Noah fabric car cover from California Car Covers. Fits well, stuffs in trunk, lasted 6 years with me and was perfect when I sold the car, easy on and off with one person as long as the wind is moderate. Secured with elastic band around lower edges of cover. I parked under a Chestnut tree and had up to 8 inches of snow or 1 inch of ice on it. Came with a bag to stuff it in for storage. Optional was a cord to go under the belly of the car and a lock. I never used that as it survived 40 MPH winds without it and my house was pretty secure.
