Windstop is no longer RATTLING!

Porsche now has new windstop brackets for the 987 and the windstop is rattle free! It was one of the TSBs. For those of you that haven't taken your car in...do it! Gone are the days of felt tape. The mechanic was laughing when he pulled out my windstop and saw the five layers of felt tape around the window.

Thanks, man, I've been waiting for this! Do you have a number or date of the TSB??

Ohhh... yeah they did that for me during the 20,000 mile service too, I forgot to mention that one. I didn't even think about it when I took mine off to clean it today--didn't look to see if the felt tape was all removed or not!

W572 was for Windstop (Rubber Buffer, Draft)
W574 was for Exhaust Washers (took care of the rattling)

I also had that annoying radio problem (radio would stop playing CD's) fixed. They ended up replacing the whole thing. Does this answer your questions?

They've replaced my stereo three times. The problem ain't going to go away. Contact Porsche Customer Care and complain--they've had plenty of complaints and they know that it is a general issue. You should talk to them....

Eslai, thanks for jinxing me. My radio just quit on the way to Taco Tote. At least the Tacos were good. What number are you using for Porsche Customer Service?
