I have the trip computer. I was going fast and let up on the gas pedal and at the same time reset the average miles per gallon and it showed 99 miles per gallon. I will have to do that again and take a picture of the display.

In Canada the numbers spin faster in litres.

21.6 MPG average, pretty much 50-50 for around town & highway use, but including a few track days. Represents mostly fast, all warm weather, driving over 2.5 years of ownership of a 2001 2.7 from new.

'99 with 2.5 engine, I regularly get about 27 mpg on my commute. 23 or so if only around town.

2003 Boxster S:

Usual mixed driving: 10.5-11 l/100km
Town driving : 13-14l/100km

All in all a lot bettwer than I expected for a 3.2 l engine.

I have an 02 Boxster and for highway driving with the cruise control set at 80 mph I can usually count on 100 miles per 1/4 tank.

I used to drive a Ford Taurus and got better mileage than what I get now. My former Taurus has a 3L engineand I used to feed it regular fuel. With my Boxster now, I feed it 93 octane at over $2 a galon and still have to fill up my tank twice a week. Gas prices in NY now are really high. They will go higher unless something is done. According to the Drudge website, the future of gasoline is very grim. It's just so crazy with all the wars and stuff going on. There is no gaurantee that you can buy gas at a fraction of the current price in 5 years or so. Let's just enjoy our Posha's
