It's What You Don't See...
Had a funky smell driving to and from work today. Thought I might have a problem with the cabin filter. Turns out I did. What you don't see are the three babies that were clinging to her back as she scurried away. So far the score is mouse trap 1, mice 3. I've got the frunk booby trapped like the Vietnamese jungle. We'll see...http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1632441702.jpg

oh I see him now. Sticky traps are the best; especially on the small ones like that.
I wouldn't want a mouse coming out unannounced during some aggressive driving... |
Final score... mouse catcher 5, mice 0! Although the sticky traps were a good idea, I couldn't bear to use them on the young ones. I decided to see if they would come back to the nest (which they did) and snuggle down for the night. It was then an easy job to suck them up with the 'ol shop vac. Took them to the woods to fend for themselves.

Good to hear you got rid of the gnawers. |

Hopefully they didn't get any further into your car's vent system or start dinning on any electrical wires or hoses.... That can be VERY problematic!

There's a shed snake skin on the floor of the car I just bought. Hopefully that just means no mice..?http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1632623158.jpg

Thought you guys might like that one! Turns out there were 5 of those little suckers! Of the cars we own, they HAD to choose the Boxster. Well, at least the mice have good taste up here in NC.
I think I caught them early enough so that no wiring was touched. Did a thorough examination this weekend and so far so good. I really like Jon's solution. Heck, one or two snake skins would even keep me away from the car!!! |
