are all boxsters prewired for heated seats?

this is what got me thinking about that, from my knowladge its just wires that heat up and produce heat. in this picture here, are these wires that are part of seat structure or possibly heated seats?
my old car, bmw, had everything ready already, i jsut put in a factory switch and connected the wires and that was it.
could this be the same case of german engineering?

Mostly this is Urban Myth. But a few cars did go out of Germany with the heater elements. Maybe you got one!

Djomlas, do you see this on both seats?

FYI. This may shed a little light on your question:

If I wanted to buy heating pads off of Pcars or something, is that all I have to do to add them is pull the cover off like that and run the wires?
