Hot ambient air at feet when driving

Good morning everyone. I have an issue that is driving me crazy. I have a 2001 Boxter S. When I drive with top down, warm air blows around my legs. When I feel under there while driving the air is coming from behind the plastic vent which goes across right to left and the blowing air is from driving not the blower blowing the air. The ac works fine. I closed off the cabin filter to see if it was air coming through heater core but that didn't change anything, I also previously redid the aluminum diverter by covering (where the foam used to be) with metal duct tape. If someone can help please send here or email me modonnell9@comcast.net My name is Mickey, Thank you
