Road of Death
This road looks like a sweet one to test the limits of your Boxster on. Take a turn too fast and say 'goodbye'. :D
Looks like it is called the 'Road of Death' and is in Bolivia. http://www.netscape.com/viewstory/2006/10/12/amazing-pictures-of-the-road-of-death-in-bolivia-pictures/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hotelscostarica.net%2FStremn aya&frame=true |
crap! that's amazing!

that is so freaking scary  and the same time it will earn a bragging rights once you made it to the end...ahahahahaha :D

Wow, that looks like fun!
The roads in southern Switzerland are pretty great in the summer but generally congested. I did see a few Elises and even a Corvette there though. That grey zig-zag on the side of the mountain is the road! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y37/bellylint/DSCN0072.jpg |
holy cow
That is some serious asphalt. Maybe someday the Boxster and I will say hello. . . but not goodbye.

I'm more likely renting a mini cooper :D

Hi,
That does look like a great road. I also agree there are some great Swiss roads, not just in the south either, I was raised there and travelled all over. Another favorite of mine in the coast road to Hana on Maui. Start in Kaanapali or Lahaina, go around the NW tip of the island (where one 8 mi. stretch is single lane - 1 single lane for all the traffic if 2 cars meet, 1 is backing up, cliff face on 1 side, sheer drop to the ocean on the other). You have numberous switchbacks, blind corners, lots of elevation changes, spectacular waterfalls and hidden beaches, go through a Rain Forest and Bamboo forest, spectacular driving! |
