will the new 911 turbo wheels fit the 986?
I saw some on a few Cayman's at the dealer, and they looked GREAT!
Was wondering if they would work on older box'es? http://www.caradisiac.com/media/imag...turbo-4big.jpg |
i think the offset is diff therefere it wont work.
correct me if im wrong anyone |
just an observation, the 911/Cayman have to be the cars that are most often photographed from the side and rear. for every front shot I see there must be 12 of the sides and back floating out there.

Subgraphic, I am sure you could get them to fit your boxster providing you had the right spacers on your car... but they're awfully wide and will probably rub in the front for sure and possibly the rears when under heavy loads (rubbing the top fender).
The secondary issue is that of your wheel bearings and the fact that these much larger, wider wheels may cause premature failure with 1.5 inch spacers on the back, for example. The third and final issue to consider is the price. I'm betting a set of these rims are no less than $3500 at Sunset, the cheapest place in the US to buy OEM Porsche parts. I have seen some nice aftermarket sets in ads in Excellence that look a lot like these rims. That may be a better way to go. |
