Cleaning behind front air intake vents

There is some small leaf and dirt debris behind the front fascia lower air intake vents that I would like to clean out. I also don't want these obstructions to obscure air flow to the radiators. Are these vents removable and if so, how?

Thanks!

I know what you mean! My main problem is insects collecting back there. I have a crapload of grasshoppers and bugs in there. I even had a cardinal in there for awhile. I didn't find it until it started to reek in my garage. lol

You have to remove the bumper cover to remove the vents.

Just use a vacum cleaner and a crevice tool.

TP, what is involved in removing the bumper cover?

Just remove a bunch of screws and plastic rivets and it slides off.

easier way to clean?

On the theory that (almost) no question is too stupid to ask, can the front vents be cleaned without removing the cover? For example, would it be possible to attach an extension to the wet vac. that is small enough in diameter to get in the opening and long enough to reach all the way? If so, what diameter hose extension would do the job, and what length?

Since this is a job that needs to be done what, once or twice a year, wouldn't it be nice to find a user-friendly solution? My thanks in advance for any advice from those who have experience in this area. That brings up another thought, what about those screens that some of the catalogs offer? What's the experience been with them? Tom
