REVO tuning

I have a new to me '03 Boxster that has been tuned with a REVO device for 93 octane. While the car runs great like this, I doubt my driving style really needs this type of firepower and I really don't want to keep buying super premium fuel for this due to cost. So my question is, if I keep it tuned at 93 octane but run 89 regular fuel, will I see issues? Just want to confirm.

The car is factory tuned for 93 octane. Running lower quality fuel will cause knock (especially if ignition timing had been advanced by an aftermarket tune) and this will trigger the dme to pull ignition timing.
