1997 Boxter Front Bumper Conversion
 

Hi Folks,

Looking at possibly converting my 97 boxter front bumper and adding side skirts. What bumpers from other Porsche cars and year (ie 911 or 996) will fit on my 97 boxter. I have seen some fibreglass aftermarket body kits out there but not sure if that’s the best route to go. Do they fit seamlessly? Can anyone offer any input please.

996 Bumpers up through 2001 will fit. The later style of 986 bumper (2003 - 2004) will fit. The grill trim pieces are usually not included in the sale and can be fairly expensive to add. Most if not all fiberglass bumper covers will need some work to make them fit correctly.
