bubbling paint

I have two spots on my 97 986 where the paint is starting to bubble. Will this be covered under the corrosion warranty?
Thanks
Automon

How long is the corrosion warranty? Longer than the standard warranty? I have no idea, but I would guess a 97 isn't going to be under any kind of warranty anymore given the age of the car.

I believe there is a 7 or 10 year rust warranty. Check your owners manual. :)

Where is it starting to bubble?

under the drivers side air intake my owners manuel says 10 years so I guess i will take it in and see what they say. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,
Automon

If it is right under the lip of the air intake scoop it is possible that some water containing some corrosive minerals was trapped in there for a long time. I think the corrosion warranty should fix it for you though. Good luck and let us know what happens! :)

In my experience, normally a corrosion warranty only applies to what they call "perforation", or a complete rust-through problem. Hopefully, the Porsche warranty is more gracious and you'll be covered...
