Friends new 99 Boxster is showing p1602. No warning lights, runs great. What does that mean?
Thanks |

I am not positive about this because DTC or P codes can be specific to the year of the car. The P1602 code is for an open,or no voltage in the main voltage supply circuit. It is most likely triggered due to a dead battery or disconnected battery at some point in time. This info is for a 2000 boxster with a 7.2 DME/ECU I can't find any info on the code for a 99 Boxster and I am not sure which era of DME/ECU the 99 uses. So if you have no check engine light ,I would clear the code and see if it returns over time. Keep me posted on what happens I like to know end results. Helps me with my car and helping others:D |

Thanks guys. I reset and will keep an eye on.
Sorry, I meant no warning lights on dash (Engine light included). Working on his 99 Box last night made me realize how much I miss mine. They are such wonderful cars. That shape is timeless. Always going to be a visually interesting car. |
