Transmission leak?

Hello, I have recently purchased a 98 boxster with 68k miles on it and have been checking it out to see what work needs to be done. I’ve noticed a lot of dirty old fluid on the transmission and am wondering if anyone could help me out on this. If it was rms wouldn’t it be on the engine and transmission where they meet? Seems like it’s just on the transmission. Pics below. Thanks!http://ibb.co/4T0SXDnhttps://ibb.co/zxG6mYc

That is the engine to transaxle bell housing. There are 2 sources of oil there. The RMS and the IMS flange. You will have to pull the transaxle to determine which is leaking.

Edit Not likely but it could be from the transaxle drain plug.

Thank you for the reply. So since it’s a dual row If I am to go in and replace the seals I shouldn’t have to replace the ims? Also is this urgent or could I wait until it gets warmer? The car is not a daily and I will not be driving it much. Thanks!

I don't think it is urgent. That leakage appears pretty minimal, probably IMS seal. I'd clean it up so you can better tell where it is leaking from. As long as the clutch is not wet and displaying issues then no problem waiting on repair.
