Body/Hardtop color mismatch

Has anyone seen a hardtop that didn't match the body color? Can it look decent? Maybe black metallic body with silver metallic or green metallic top? Or would the fitting/design lines of the top make it look gross?

Thinking about a hardtop and wondering if anyone has seen a two tone effect.

I dont think that looks so hot, Green top barley looks good on a green boxster. If you were going to miss match, get a black top, black tops on different color cars usually looks good and isnt too uncommon.

I Did It for A While With My Miata

You can see some pictures here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/342258/2 and here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/342258/4 I eventually swapped with a guy who had the opposite combination: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/342258/6

You could probably live with black on silver for a while, but I think that the lines of the Boxster are enhanced by a matching hardtop. Like this beauty:

Here's a couple of mine. Seal Grey body with black metallic top. I think it looks good, but I'm biased.

I think it can look good but you have to be careful with your color choice. I was on some website, somewhere and a girl had a red hardtop on a seal grey car. She loved it, but to me it looked like she'd found a used top at a pawnshop.

I think it looks good, but it'd look better on my black Boxster! If you need it "storing" for the winter let me know!!
