Battery drain Ok so I buy a new battery and come back to the car after 5 days and it’s dead. Need to access the battery via the fuse box. Something is draining the battery on my 99 2.5. It seems to be ok for 3 days but dead after 5 following a full charge. Anyone any experience of the same issue? |

Of course not. What you describe is not right. You have a problem. |

My battery discharged after leaving my key in the Ignition over night and not 1 light came on after the battery died, I jumped it thru my Cig lighter to pop the hood charged it up and its been fine ever since..So it should not be dying that quickley...Frank |

There are two articles on batteries and battery drain here. https://sites.google.com/site/mikefocke2/mikesporscheboxsterwebpages Usually something that you did or something that was changed. But the only way to find out is through a simple series of tests. Is the alternator charging the battery? Any light left on? Fuse by fuse where is the drain occurring? |
