Sounds like some kind of bearing wearing out, need advice on what it could be

I bought a 2001 986 a few months ago and the prior owner did a lot of work to it, IMS and all kinds of other things. The engine runs great.
Lately upon cold startup some other thing runs for a few minutes until warmed up.
I can hear a little while during that few minutes. If I start the car cold then turn it off I can hear like a bearing whine spool down.
Any advice on what this could be?

Edit: I just talked to the Porsche service and they said it sounds like the emissions secondary air pump and if it's not throwing a check engine light then don't worry about it. He said it just leans out the air/fuel mixture for emissions until the catalytic converter is up to temperature.
And If it does go out it's not a bid deal, it would just make the car run richer until it's warmed up.

Still, if it if that, should I just leave it or attempt to fix it?

Sounds like the air pump. I'd leave it.

Sounds like it may be the landing gear retraction system.

Just sayin'.........

Strangely enough I have the exact same thing as of yesterday as well. I read somewhere that the pump can be removed and the bearing re-packed, I'd be interested in this just as a Sunday afternoon project really, but I can't find any guides or info on it.
