EuroCupGT Spring and Damper Coilover Kit
 

Hi guys,

Did anyone tried one of those kits on 986 Boxster or on any other Porsche? I couldn't find any reviews online.

They are sold on Porscheshop for 1199£ and they include sports dampers which enables you to adjust the ride height with a 30-way damping adjustment.

Fully Top Adjustable All Round, comes with Alloy Top Mounts all round and Front Camber Adjustment Plates.

I have just sent them an email with a few questions and I can post the answers here when I get them.

Have a look on some UK websites and forums. This outfit gets mixed reviews.

Pretty sure these are re-branded yellowspeed coilovers. Obviously the picture shown on porscheshop aren't the boxster model. Yellowspeed Dynamic Pro-Sports YS01-PO-DPS006. They are 1100.00 dollars American. Think you could source from them?
I recently put them on my 986S to replace my struts and couldnt be happier. Others on the forum, including racers have as well; havent heard any bad press.
I dont have too many miles on them, but some of the tuners in my area have them on their "tuner/drifter/poseur" cars and love them. Nice adjustability, appears to be excellent build quality and well priced.

I have found Yellowspeed ones you have mentioned in Netherlands and they cost 1040 euros (1217 USD) which is OK price.

It says it has 33-way adjustable damping, which is similiar to what they say for EuroCupGT coilovers (30-way) so you are probably right.

I will send the same set of questions to Yellowspeed Racing as I have sent to EuroCupGT so we can compare what they say. Also, for Yellowspeed they claim that for some cars their set includes front camber plates so I have to check is the 986 Boxster one of them.

At this budget you an also look at the Designtek branded ones from Design911.

"Height is typically up to around 3" of drop at the lowest. Rebound and compression is adjusted simultaneously via 1 knob on each coilover. The camber plates on ours and most other brands typically offers around +/- 2.5 degrees. No camber adjustment in the rears as they are a solid mount w/ rubber bushings."

So no independently adjustable compression / rebound here. I think Bilstein B16 and KW v3 has that, as well as JRZ RS One.

What are your recommendation for coilovers + camber plates at least for front wheels? I want independently adjustable compression / rebound, ride height adjustment and camber adjustment at least for the front.

Total budget is max 4000 USD (including camber plates if not included in the coilover package)

I think you will struggle to find anyone with experience of many of these to compare.

Yeah, don is great. I’ve been happy but I’m close to stock, dropped an inch and stock cambers. I would think you get what you want from these, but don’t know your final requirements. [emoji3] wise money spent in this range buys quality and I’m pretty sure I get it with the YS. I could have spent a lot more, but don’t think I would have gotten much more, ya know?

I think I will go for kw variant 3, it has independently adjustable compression and rebound and ride height adjustment, I found it on ebay for 2700 USD (new), including shipping.

I will have to add camber plates at least for the front wheels and solid mounts for the rears or maybe go for adjustable LCAs. I will inform you when I decide and buy.

Max, I am already on my second set of KW-V3's (987CS & 981CS) and I am happy with their quality..

However, please be aware the you will need to buy the adjustable rear toe links as well as the OEM links does Not have enough adjustment to compensate the rear toe after the car is lowered..
