Thanks for your replies guys. I must have been listening to a Brit on YouTube when they said "Drivers side" I took out the drivers inner wheel and nothing. So I removed the passenger side and couldn't find the wire. To make matters worse I have after market wheels on the car and the spline socket was in the frunk. After much fishing around I found it tucked in against the headlight support and managed to hook it with a coat hanger. All is well that ends well. Lesson learned.
