Painted rotors
 

I noticed corrosion on my rotors from condensation during winter storage. It was getting worse every year, so I bought some high temperature caliper paint. I cleaned the rust off and gave them a couple light coats being careful to avoid the braking surfaces. Hopefully this will not burn off and prevent further corrosion.

That should be a standard practice when performing brake job, and brake quiet, anti seize etc.

Jaykay No I didn't. I tested them with a few hard stops and this picture was taken afterwards.

If you paint the hubs the same shade of red as the calipers (as you can see that I have done), the caliper and the hub seem to compliment each other nicely.

And while you are at it, inexpensive lug bolt cover caps, easily found on such as eBay, eliminates the sometimes scuzzy OEM lug bolt appearance.

I did rotor caps with high temp spray paint and they lasted years. I used same paint on lugs as well. Each time I took wheels off for any multi-day work, I hit them with a coat of paint to keep them looking good.

Can you use POR 15 to do this project?

Flouese POR 15 should work but get the high temp for caliper. I think this area of the rotor could get hot.
