What is this connector for?

Good day to all. Fairly new to the Porsche world, and have been avidly reading through this forum in order to educate myself on my cheap mid life crisis

I am currently installing a new double din head unit, and as part of this, setting up a backup camera while I am at it. I have installed the camera, and routed the wiring all the way to the dash (that was fun). Now trying to find power for the camera, and dumped. I have read that the black/blue wire is the backup light, but when I put my tester on it. Can anyone enlighten me on this please? I don't want to run this wire to the cab if I can avoid it, as the RCA plug was a pain to do and don't want to do it again.

Now for the other question, I have the trunk emptied out to do my wiring install, and have come accross a 2 wire connector (black plug with red and blue wires) in the area of the trunk latch that is not connected anywhere. I cannot find where it belongs or what it is for. The red is constant 12v. Anyone have any clue? In case it matters, I have a 2000 Boxter 2.7, US spec.

Lots of good info on this forum, and appreciate the help in advance.

Well, found power for camera. Crisis averted.

Connector mentioned still unidentified. Anyone out there that can shed light on this?

Does the blue wire have any black on it? Seems it could be the connector for the trunk release.

Yes, blue with black. I thought it could possibly be a latch release. I guess I just don't have that option as no door lock/unlock on keys. Would that have been an option?
