Yes 996 bumper I corrected my original post. Direct bolt on. I removed the moustache and replaced opening with mesh to keep leaves out.

Sorry, have a question about a 160deg thermostat
 
Fascinating convo. Seems to make a case for the LTT stat. Question: will a 160deg stat throw a CEL due to coolant temp variation from OEM?

It will offer better cooling, longer oil life, and potentially a longer engine life as well.

Had the 160deg thermostat installed. Love it. The needle points to the left hand edge of the “8”. And I warms up faster. I expect it will creep back up to the “0” on a hot day and stop ‘n go. So far, I like it.
