Loose tube in engine compartment

Removed the plastic guards near the firewall covering the battery, etc to clean some debris. Found this loose plastic tube on the passenger side as shown in pic.

The other end seems to be bundled with the AC metal hoses and disappearing into the wheel well.

Any idea on where it plugs into? It’s not the tube to vent the battery as that’s on the other side and already attached to the battery.

That is some crazy front engined Boxster you have ... That's the battery vent tube.

With the engine in the front on your car, does it have a spare engine under the trunk?

That sure looks like a battery vent tube to me.

LOL - thanks guys, totally missed that in my subject title... and yup, there was a vent port that was capped on that side of the battery that I missed.
