Challenge

I picked up a 2002 S knowing there is probably a serious engine issue.
For your enjoyment, this is what I found in the sump. What do you think I'll find when I tear it down? With this amount of debris, I'm looking for an engine!

Wow, that motor is in a bad state of hurt. Looks like it was running until the oil pick-up got clogged and possibly caused severe oil starvation.

The good news is that you picked it up knowing you might need a motor, so there's no real surprise, and I assume you got it for a worthwhile price. Good luck in your search for a motor and with your project. Please keep us posted of your progress!

Nah, they all do that!

Try a spoon of Marvels Mystery Oil, what do you have to lose?

Bada Boom! I'll be here all week!

Seriously, that doesn't look good, Newsguy. Let us know what happens next!

That engine ran with low or no oil pressure long enough to ruin most of the connecting rod bearings & most likely some of the rods which wears the crankshaft.etc.

I have a rebuilt engine for sale in the For Sale thread.

The day I pull the oil pan and find that scenario... is the day I buy your engine.
