I picked up a 2002 S knowing there is probably a serious engine issue.
For your enjoyment, this is what I found in the sump. What do you think I'll find when I tear it down? With this amount of debris, I'm looking for an engine!

I don't know, a little JB weld and you should be all set.

Wow, that motor is in a bad state of hurt. Looks like it was running until the oil pick-up got clogged and possibly caused severe oil starvation.

The good news is that you picked it up knowing you might need a motor, so there's no real surprise, and I assume you got it for a worthwhile price. Good luck in your search for a motor and with your project. Please keep us posted of your progress!

That engine ran with low or no oil pressure long enough to ruin most of the connecting rod bearings & most likely some of the rods which wears the crankshaft.etc.
