Ignition switch yet again...

I managed to replace the switch in my 99, I replaced it as it was getting hard to turn on the 2nd position which actually starts the engine. Now that it is replaced I'd say there is far more resistance turning the key to the 2nd position. From the 2nd (2nd right turn) to starting the engine feels very good. Any thoughts on this? Maybe just live with it till something really causes some concern. Damn, I don't want to replace this again.
