Help!! Can't get rear rotor back on!
My boyfriend is currently doing his brakes. Fronts are done and we had no issues, no we're on the rear and he can't get the rotor back on. Parking brake isn't on and not really sure where to go from here. Any and all input please!

It could be one of 3 things:
1. Wrong size rotors 2. The e-brake shoes are not seated properly and preventing the rotor from fitting over them. 3. The e-brake is out of adjustment. Here's some links that may help: Replacing rotor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9HIaHaoZSo Adjusting E-brake: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/55-BRAKES-Replacing_Brake_Discs/55-BRAKES-Replacing_Brake_Discs.htm |
I definitely think it was the ebrake shoes. I guess he got it figured out, the car is put back together. Thanks for the help

For anyone reading this in the future, I had a pair of inexpensive rear rotors that were simply machined slightly too small so they wouldn't seat completely against the hub. It looked like everything was seated properly but when I installed the calipers the rotor would rub. I had to use a file and remove a bit of material from the inside of each lug hole to get them to seat properly.
